Abstract

In parallel with the expansion of SCM concept in different industries, supply chain evaluation and measurement was also considered too. Performance measurement is a very important base for decision-making, planning and controlling. Nowadays there is a variety of models for performance evaluation, but lack of a comprehensive system for performance measurement among some cooperative organizations has still remained. One of the newest models for supply chain performance measurement is SCOR(Supply Chain Operation Reference), a process-based model that clarifies five main processes in supply chain context (Planning, Sourcing, Making, Delivering and Returning). Each of these processes include different activities and criteria so that taking action according to them will guarantee the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain management.
In Iran, Social Security Organization(SSO), possessing a pharmacy holding with numerous companies in the field of material & pharmacy production and a very expanded distribution system, has the main pharmacy market share. These set of companies compose a supply chain that the evaluation of  its efficiency and effectiveness according to the SCOR model is the main aim of this article.
