The Effect of Human Resource Practices on Organizational Citizenship Behavior: The Moderate Role of Organizational Commitment

Abstract

This paper studies the effect of human resource practices on organizational citizenship behavior by taking into consideration the moderate role of organizational commitment in Melat Bank. For this reason a questionnaire was distributed among 154 respondents.
Structural equation modeling is used for the purpose of analyzing the obtainted data. Findings show that there is a positive relationship between human resource practices and organizational citizenship behavior. Also, in accordance with path analysis model, human resource practices can affect citizenship behavior through organizational commitment.
