Abstract

A glance at the state of the creative industries as a new concept for research institutions and policy makers in the country indicates that the researchers and policymakers of the country have little regard for this cultural-economic concept.
This concept covers a wide and diverse range of industries, such as advertising, architecture, design, fashion, animation, movies, computer and online games, which, based on its cultural and economic functions for the country, requires a profound and more serious attention from the policy institutions in the country.
The purpose of this research is to provide a model consisting of systems and components that affect the value chain of creative industries based on the conditions and characteristics of Iranian native cultural and economic characteristics. Based on this objective, the present study extracts a native model for the value chain of the creative industries using interviewing experts and using the grounded theory method. The results of the research are presented in a model based on the metaphor of the system, that is named Iran’s value system of creative industries.
