Abstract

The main purpose of this article is to design a roadmap of quantum technology for the Islamic Republic of Iran in a 25-year horizon. In addition, there were other sub-goals that had to be researched to achieve the main goal, which include: identifying the quantum technology tree, prioritizing different quantum technology fields using the importance and performance matrix.

Methodology of this article is a "mixed" type, that is, several different methods were used to achieve the goal, such as: "documentary studies", " experts survey" and "Delphi or Expert Panel".

The main finding of the article is presented in the form of a quantum technology roadmap. The secondary findings include: identifying and introducing the quantum technology tree, providing prioritization among the different branches of quantum technology. In addition to presenting the roadmap of quantum technology, the output of the research shows that among the four main categories in the field of quantum technology, the "quantum communication" category has a deeper effect in the developing. Next is the "quantum measurement" category, which can provide the basis for fundamental developments.
